CHES is saddened by the loss of Holocaust survivor Cantor Moshe Shimon Kraus who passed away on Monday, May 29th. He was 101 years old. Dr. Susan Landau-Chark, Associate Director of the Zelikovitz Centre for Jewish Studies, passed away after a long illness early on Monday, June 5th. CHES extends our deepest condolences to her family and the Zelikovitz Centre. We have fond memories of Susan, Deidre’s right hand during the years CHES was affiliated with the Centre. Among other things, she edited our newsletter, managed our bookings at the university, and was always kind, helpful, and patient.
