Paul is a retired teacher from South Carleton High School who developed a passion for educating his students on the Holocaust in the early 2000s. His introduction to Ottawa-area Shoah survivor David Shentow’s story was a catalyst for his devotion to Holocaust Education. Paul introduced Order of Canada Recipient Eva Olsson to Ottawa-area schools in 2005 so she too could share her story, ensuring that students learned the lessons of tolerance while combating hate. Paul’s educational journey brought him to Yad Vashem in 2004 with subsequent educational excursions to Auschwitz, Mauthausen, and Dachau to further his education. Paul is proud to join the CHES team in order to help keep the lessons, envisioned by David and Eva, alive for our present-day youth to appreciate.
