Alyssa Novick, BA (Hons), MA (History), BEd (Intermediate and Senior Divisions) has recently retired after teaching Social Studies and International Baccalaureate history at Ashbury College for over 30 years. In addition to her time as head of the department, she has been responsible for curriculum development for numerous history courses and is most proud of her role in developing the Holocaust Education unit of the Grade 10 Canadian history course. Alyssa has also taken students on several history trips, including to Belgium, France, and Germany. Passionate about linking past events to current issues in a thoughtful and critical manner, Alyssa is thrilled to be working with CHES.
