CHES, in collaboration with the Historical Society of Ottawa, invites you to Phil Emberley’s presentation of his father’s story of survival. Phil, a CHES member and Second Generation descendant, will describe how his father, Dieter Emberley, survived Kristallnacht and experienced the Kindertransport, the evacuation of 10,000 Jewish children by the British government just before the start of World War II. As the numbers of Holocaust survivors dwindles, it is important to amplify the voices of their descendants so that their important testimonies continue to be told and shared.
Admission is free. All are welcome to attend. Click here to reserve your spot.
