Location: Ron Kolbus Lakeside Center
As recipients of the Solicitor General grant, CHES, along with United for All and Pinecrest Community Health Centre, was invited to participate in a roundtable discussion organized by the City of Ottawa and the United Way to share insights on the impact of hate and discrimination in their communities. The event will provide opportunities to connect with organizations, community leaders, and allies engaged in anti-hate and community-building efforts in our city. A range of learning and partnership activities available to community members and social services staff over the coming year will be introduced.
As part of a long-term collaboration with the City of Ottawa, CHES in partnership with the Ottawa Jewish Federation, will be conducting a tour of the National Holocaust Monument and a local synagogue for 80 selected City staff. CHES will also present a hybrid workshop about the Jewish culture and current antisemitism for the City’s staff and employees in May.
