The National Holocaust monument in Ottawa has the untapped potential to reach and teach tens of thousands of students, residents, and tourists about the Holocaust. The project, a collaboration between CHES, Liberation75, and the USC Shoah Foundation, will combine the physical experience of the Monument with virtual interactive experiences that expand the understanding of the history of the Holocaust, the experience of Canadian Holocaust survivors, and the role of antisemitism in the Holocaust. To encourage school visits to the monument, the project will include pre- and post-visit educational material designed for schools.
CHES is grateful to friends, partners, and supporters and thanks them for their continued support and involvement in our work to educate about the Holocaust and to develop programs to fight racism, discrimination, and antisemitism. Without their support, we would not have been inspired to create and share our diverse activities, programs, and educational resources.
